FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Baltimore, MD., March 15, 2021 – HobbleJog Foundation Awards Grants to Organizations Assisting Brain Injury Survivors

The HobbleJog Foundation has awarded $5000 in grants to two organizations dedicated to assisting brain injury survivors.  Award recipients are California-based, Brain Education Strategies Technology (BEST) and the Brain Injury Association of Maryland (BIAMD).

Brain Education Strategies & Technology (BEST) is a non-profit organization with a national focus on helping traumatic brain injury survivors regain their independence and productivity. BEST is operated by brain injury survivors who volunteer their professional skills and real-life experiences to help identify and build practical and effective tools for other survivors. The BEST grant will help fund a pilot iOS app training program to help 10 young adults with brain injuries return to school or the workforce. Applications are still being accepted for this program. Contact https://bestconnections.org/hobblejog-project for more information.

The Brain Injury Association of Maryland supports survivors of brain injury through advocacy, education, and research. The BIAMD grant will help the organization reach individuals and families impacted by traumatic brain injury. For more information, visit http://www.biamd.org.

HobbleJog Founder, Susan M. Hahn, presented the awards virtually this year due to Covid restrictions.   Hahn said, “We are very pleased to support these two great organizations as they both directly align with HobbleJog’s mission.”
